Atkins & Pearce Performa Wicks

Performa wick is a non-curling flat braided wick with a straight burn profile. These features promote a more symmetrical wax pool and self-trimming posture. Its reinforced design provides increased rigidity in the wax pool as well as in drawing some of the harder to burn viscous waxes.

Performa wick is appropriate for applications such as tapers, pillars, beeswax, viscous waxes and medium to large containers.

Glossary of terms

Measured in yards of wick per pound in weight. The higher the yield, the smaller the wick and the flame and the resulting heat generated.

The rate of wax consumption in ounces by the wick in one hour. The higher the burn rate the more wax which is being consumed. Used to determine how well a wick and wax combination is performing.
